ApotheCom Associates LLC Announces New Leadership
Exton and Yardley, Pennsylvania – October 4, 2004 - ApotheCom Associates LLC today announced the appointment of Mike Brown as President, ApotheCom Associates LLC and Andrew (Andy) Abbott as Managing Director of the Exton and Yardley ApotheCom offices.
As President of the globally operated company, Brown will be responsible for day-to-day operations as well as strategic management and global business development. Brown will work with ApotheCom’s existing senior management and business development teams to enhance and improve the financial performance of ApotheCom. “The addition of Mike Brown to the ApotheCom team represents the beginning of a new phase in ApotheCom’s growth. His experience as a business development professional will help ApotheCom continue to build strategic relationships with existing and future clients" said Neil Matheson, CEO of AXIS Healthcare Communications, and former President of ApotheCom.
Brown brings a wealth of experience in managing small-to-mid sized companies to his new role with ApotheCom. His accomplished career in management includes positions such as Vice President Business Development, Software Development Services and President, USA Operations, of an Asian-based technology company. He holds an MBA from the Wharton School of Business at the University of Pennsylvania and an undergraduate degree in physics from Sheffield University in Sheffield, England.
Managing Director, Andy Abbott joins ApotheCom from Ingenix, Inc, a division of United Health Group where he was senior vice president, account development. His responsibilities encompassed several general management areas, including strategic business planning, account management and business development. In addition to his agency business development and operations experience, Andy spent 13 years at Bristol-Myers Squibb Company in a variety of sales, marketing and senior management roles. Andy has worked in a wide range of therapeutic areas, and has a special passion and extensive experience in CNS; he has significant experience in cardiology, neurology, anti-infectives, dermatology, and women’s health.
